elle.com A to Zee: Best of Fall

Inspired by Elle Creative Director Joe Zee’s 26 favorite fall trends, we’re bringing you a great trend every day, from A to Z.

Starting with A, both me and Joe Zee are loving Architectural Shapes: sculptural, geometric lines that fuse architecture and fashion. Eye-catchingly minimalist in a sea of embellishment, these art-deco pieces are reminiscent of the strong lines of a cityscape or the sleek curves of the Guggenheim. Abaeté does this look so well, in particular with the colorblock Ysabel Dress, and VPL’s Armadillo Skirt is almost futuristic in its clean lines and structured silhouette. Pieces like these demand accessories that can hold their own, and Lee Angel’s Lyla Multi Strand Mesh and Crystal Necklace, Martine Sitbon’s Colorblock Clutch, and Tory Burch’s Embossed Jordana Tote step up to the challenge.
