getting warmer
This week I returned from a holiday in Turkey, and because it was 70 degrees and sunny every day (thanks, Mediterranean!), I was shocked to land in the middle of a (relatively deep) freeze back home. Instead of continuing to grumble about it, I need to accept my changed circumstances and fashionably fight the cold with all the hats, gloves, and scarves I didn’t think to shop for before I left.
I’m a wuss when it comes to cold weather, so when choosing accessories, my mantra is the thicker the better. Plus, when I’m all bundled up in a black coat, it’s the extras that will let me play with my look and switch it up from day to day. When I’m in a classic mood, I’ll don a cashmere Vince scarf and add a little interest with a cozy Eugenia Kim hat (pictured). But when I’m feeling a little edgy, I’ll wrap up in a lace-print YARNZ scarf and pull on fingerless gloves (and maybe a pair of Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots that will console me until spring).
