We’re in the midst of that in-between season: when winter wear is feeling stale, but it’s still too cold to go all-out spring style. People Style Watch tapped Shopbop Buyer Jane Albiter for a few wardrobe refreshers (look for the article in their March issue, on newsstands now), and we got Jane to offer up some tips on how to wear them.

Printed bottoms in all forms are such a big trend this season. This skirt is super wearable when you pair it back to a solid knit. A preppy shoe is a great match—a loafer or the Rag & Bone Newbury Bootie. When the weather heats up, tuck in an airy LNA tee or a sleeveless Equipment blouse.

Bold Blue Blouse
I love this blouse’s tie neck and deep V—it’s sophisticated, but the color keeps it fun. And, it can be worn in so many ways: tucked into high-waisted jeans or cutoffs, peeking out from under a blazer, or even for work with a pencil skirt and pumps.

This is a brilliant new take on the floral print. Balance the femininity with a great bootie and jacket, then finish it off with a structured bag and silver jewelry. If your look is more uptown than downtown, this is a great way to add a little edge to your wardrobe.

Sporty Wedges
Wedge sneakers have been making their way onto the scene for a few seasons, and they’re finally getting the spotlight this spring. They’re the perfect shoe when your look is casual, but you still want to be sexy and chic. Wear them with skinny jeans, and then top it off with a sweater or playful tee.
