How do I incorporate a bold print into my wardrobe? I’m afraid it will overwhelm me.
We're seeing tons of beautiful prints pour into the studio this season. Here are three styling tips that will help you take full advantage without going overboard:
1. Play with Scale
Playing with scale is important when mixing prints. Consider a micro-dot blouse paired back to a large-print floral skirt, and create
consistency by using a similar color palette. Opt for accessories in a solid color, even matching your bag and shoe.
2. Go Bold
When pairing print accessories with print apparel, go bold. I love a graphic stripe tee with an equally strong floral bag. Tame the look
with a solid pant to keep things feeling grounded and slim.
3. Make Them Match
Some prints are lovely head to toe. Pairing a same-print top and pant together can be a chic move, especially when the print is in a
soothing palette. Reach for a solid jacket in a modern shape to break up the pattern and keep things from veering into Golden Girls
territory.
