The combination of a hat with a scarf and sunglasses can be darling, but tricky to pull off. Proceed with my tips for wearing the pairing well.
Start with neutral sunnies. Black, tortoise, and metal frames make for a solid foundation and won't steal the show or compete too much with your other accessories.
Consider styling your scarf in a fresh way, tied onto your handbag or styled around the base of a brimmed hat. More traditional, around-the- neck styling works best when your hat is on the smaller side. But, if you want a more bohemian look, go wild! A big hat, big sunnies, and a loose scarf around the neck can be just the right thing.
For pre-fall hats, pick out materials based on weather. If the day is warm, you can still get away with cotton. Once summer is fully eclipsed, store your raffia and straw. Leather and wool are perfect choices for fall. Check out Cast of Vices for fun, baseball-inspired toppers.
