Your Real Name: Sydne Summer

Occupation: Fashion Expert, Blogger (ThinkThruFashion), Fashion Editor (, Stylist

Favorite Designer(s): To wear: Rebecca Taylor, Nanette Lepore, D&G. To drool over: Giambattista Valli and Jenny Packham.

Last Purchase: A vintage lavender velvet and chiffon dress Shareen Mitchell picked out for me from her vintage shop in Los Angeles. (She’s the best at showing you things you never knew you absolutely had to have.) I just wore the dress with a faux fur vest to a holiday party.

Next Purchase: A new black bag to wear at night. In my dreams it’s one of the WGACA Vintage Chanels. Then I wake up and go back and forth between MATT & NAT’s Sasha and Botkier’s Bruce.

Song/Album on Repeat Right Now: Mariah Carey’s “ All I Want for Christmas Is You.” It’s my fave for the holidays.

TV/Movie Guilty Pleasure: America’s Next Top Model. I can watch marathons for days on end.

Style Crush: Carla Bruni, Rachel Bilson, Georgina Chapman.

Your Style in 3 Words or Less: Feminine. Polished. Chic. I’m always up for trying out the latest trends but whether I’m wearing a ’60s-style sheath or harem pants, I always like to look put-together.

Alc (1) Toryb (2) Juliet (3)

About Sydne's picks:

(1) My go-to silhouette for dresses is usually high-neck and skintight. Over the holidays I’ve been into more forgiving ruched styles. I love how versatile this dress is. You can wear it casual with a faux fur vest and boots for day. Then slip on a sparkly necklace at night and wear your hair in a messy ponytail to show off the unexpected pop of lace in back. A.L.C. – Lace Back Twisty Dress

(2) At 5’3”, the platform is my best friend. I wore these Tory Burch booties six times in October as part of my ttF Fashion Staples Series. You’d be surprised by how many outfits you can top off with a pair of hiking booties. Tory Burch – Halima Suede Platform Booties

(3) Statement necklaces are ideal for travel. You can bring just a few dresses and tops and make them look completely different with the jewelry you pack in your carry-on. Layers of two-tone pearls are an updated take on the classic. Juliet & Company – Black & White Graduated Pearl Necklace

#FollowFriday Twitter Crush: @Styleite

This week, we’re following the editor behind, Verena von Pfetten.

Twitter Name: @Styleite

Real Name: Verena von Pfetten

Occupation: Editor of

Favorite Designer(s): Alexander Wang, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Chanel, J.Crew, J Brand, Chloé, and Diane von Furstenberg. Though, to be honest, a huge amount of my closet could be found at Urban Outfitters. Shh.

Last Purchase: A pair of Jeffrey Campbell ankle boots—from Shopbop, actually. And I haven’t taken them off since I got them. They’re perfect for cold-weather clomping around NYC.

Next Purchase: The perfect men’s-style camel overcoat. It’s so far eluded me, but I will find it!

Song/Album on Repeat Right Now: Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now,” and I don’t care who knows it!

TV/Movie Guilty Pleasure: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. They’ve put every other iteration of this franchise to shame. Also, the cast of the Real World/Road Rules Challenge on MTV is closer to me than family.

Style Crush: Chloë Sevigny and Kirsten Dunst. But I’m recently obsessed with Emma Watson.

Your Style in 3 Words or Less: Tomboy chic.

When you’re not tweeting you’re: Writing, reading, or otherwise interacting with the internet. And when I’m not doing that, I’m watching reruns of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, in between creating imaginary online shopping carts. They’re really cathartic.

(1) (2) (3)

About Verena’s Picks:
I’ve been in the market for a small, bright evening bag and this one is perfect, without breaking the bank. The gold hardware means you can wear it with jeans and a T-shirt and still look at least somewhat fancy. Marc by Marc Jacobs - Ozzie Square Perfect Purse

This may or may not be the perfect winter coat. It’s warm, goes with everything, and has that army chic thing everyone is so in love with right now. Also, it’s under $200. Score! We the Free - Faux Fur Trimmed Parka

I may not wear heels, but there’s nothing I love more than a bright, eye-catching dress. And while I’d wear this one with tights and my aforementioned Jeffrey Campbell boots, pairing this with a great pair of heels would make for a seriously eye-catching party ensemble. Joie - Topekette Dress with Shoulder Pads

* Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen (obviously). They are creative geniuses!
* Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler. The PS1 bag, enough said.

Last Purchase: A vintage Fendi portfolio to use as a giant daytime clutch.

Song/Album on Repeat Right Now: The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac

TV/Movie Guilty Pleasure: Clueless. Fifteen years later and it’s still so quotable. “Say Ambular, was that you going through my laundry?” I see Mr. Hall (Wallace Shawn) around NYC all the time—always a highlight.

Style Crush: Marie Claire Style and Accessories Director Taylor Tomasi-Hill manages the perfect balance of polish and intrigue, not to mention her accessories are always to die for.

Your Style in 3 Words or Less: Black. Major footwear.

#FollowFriday Twitter Crush: Jennine from @eatsleepdenim (& More!)

In our latest installment of Follow Friday, a style blogger who knows how to keep busy. She founded Independent Fashion Bloggers, an organization that links and supports style bloggers across the globe, and writes two blogs herself: The Coveted and Eat Sleep Denim. Meet Jennine Jacob.

Twitter Names: @eatsleepdenim @thecoveted @_ifb

Real Name: Jennine Jacob

Occupation: Blogger

Favorite Brand(s): It’s hard to pick! I recently got the Joie Elvia Lace Top—I wear it all the time. I’m also a huge fan of denim, and wear it mostly every day. In my current rotation: J Brand, AG Jeans, Charley 5.0, and Hudson Jeans. I’ve also bought a bunch of J. Crew cashmere sweaters.

Last Purchase: Army green 3.1 Phillip Lim pleated trousers.

Next Purchase: Oooh tough. I just moved to New York City, so I’m in desperate need of shoes I can walk three miles a day in.

Song/Album on Repeat Right Now: I’m a sucker for Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs. Right now, it’s Cheated Hearts, but I pretty much love everything they do.

TV/Movie Guilty Pleasure: Recently I watched three episodes of Cats 101 back to back. It was like watching Maru videos on YouTube!

Style Crush: Oh my god, there are so many! I’m a style slut, I guess. Let’s see, I love diversity in style, so it’s everything from the whole cast of Mad Men to my friend Wendy Brandes, blogger Love Maegan, photographer Saga Sig, and Stevie Nicks. I also think a lot about my grandmother’s style. She recently passed away, so the way she dressed has been on my mind.

Your Style in 3 Words or Less: Intuitive, urban, eclectic. (Pretty much I wear what I want, but mostly dress for my environment and lifestyle.)

You just moved to New York. What’s your favorite part about living in the Big Apple?
Holy moly! I LOVE it here! New York is a magical city. But my favorite part? I’ve been traveling back and forth on a monthly basis, so living here, I’m really enjoying seeing my friends and family without the jetlag and the packed schedules.

(1) (2) (3)

About Jennine’s Picks:
(1) Ever since I saw the Nanette Lepore Get a Clue Cape, I’ve been really wanting it. It looks slightly militaristic and very sharp, yet the wool is so soft. Swoon. Nanette Lepore - Get a Clue Cape

(2) I have a pair of blue Goldsign trouser jeans that I wear ALL the time. Since winter is coming, I want a dark pair in a similar style. I love wide-leg jeans. Somehow, they feel more feminine. Anlo - Pascale Trouser Jeans

(3) Like I said, I’m in the market for shoes that I can walk three miles in, and these look like they might be the ones. Charles David - Roust Field Boots

#FollowFriday Twitter Crush: @ManRepeller

In our latest installment of Follow Friday, a blogger who doesn’t take fashion too seriously, covering the latest trends in a deliciously tongue-in-cheek way. Meet the woman behind, Leandra Medine.

Twitter Name: @ManRepeller

Real Name: Leandra Medine, though sometimes I forget this. I’ve debated the pros and cons of legally becoming Man Repeller. The cons outweighed the pros.

Occupation: Undergraduate senior at The New School, freelance fashion writer, part-time table tennis champ, full-time Man Repeller.

Favorite Designer(s): Veda, The Reformation, Rag & Bone, APC Men, and Proenza Schouler.

Last Purchase: Veda’s Jones and Max Classic jackets.

Next Purchase: Proenza Schouler’s PS1 or Mulberry’s Alexa in leopard print. Or both.

Song/Album on Repeat Right Now: Wolfgang Amadeus by Phoenix—I’m getting ready for the show at Madison Square Garden next Wednesday!

TV/Movie Guilty Pleasure: The Real Housewives of New York City, I love a divorced countess who still identifies with royalty.

Style Crush: This is a tie between Hamish Bowles and Dree Hemingway.

Your Style in 3 Words or Less: Leopard, leather, plaid.

When you’re not tweeting you’re: Surfing the virtual pages of Shopbop, duh! Bonus shop points for the recent Club Monaco inclusion, and more specifically, the faultless Gwen Faux Fur Coat. A Peter Pan collar and bold leopard print in one—it’s like winning the lottery.

(1) (2) (3)

About Leandra’s Picks:
I’ve recently taken a liking to leather sleeves, and the heavy knit body on this sweater will likely keep me warm well into December. I’ll do anything to avoid a real winter coat, especially if it involves Alex Wang. Alexander Wang - Cardigan Sweater with Leather Sleeves

I’m fairly committed to my alias, so a combination of soft cashmere harem-style pants, over-sized pockets, and some seriously sweet suspenders is an obvious win for me. Bird by Juicy Couture - Cashmere Pants with Suspenders

I’ve never seen a more perfectly crafted wedge bootie in my life. At the risk of sounding too crude, it must be said: holy lady boner. Proenza Schouler - Wedge Booties

#FollowFriday Twitter Crush: @meghandono

Twitter. Like Facebook, What’s New, and Bloglovin’, we check it obsessively. And, admittedly, we have a few favorites on our follow list. We’ve decided to pick those favorites’ fashionable brains and ask them to pick a few of their Shopbop faves every Friday in our own version of #FF. This week: the woman behind WIT & Whimsy, Meghan Donovan.

(1) (2) (3)

Twitter Name: @meghandono

Real Name: Meghan Donovan

Occupation: Editor and founder of WIT & Whimsy and PR professional

Favorite Designer(s): Haute Hippie, Vince, Alice + Olivia, Theory, Cynthia Steffe, Rebecca Minkoff, and Tibi.

Last Purchase: Every time I get back from fashion week, I tend to lose my mind a little and madly scoop up items for both the current and upcoming seasons. The latest binge I just finished included a pair of James Jeans, Steve Madden oxfords, and several pieces from Madewell and Soft Joie, two brands I cannot get enough of for fall.

Why do you tweet? I tweet because I absolutely love the community of fashion and beauty bloggers present on Twitter. It’s a constant source of inspiration for me, provides me with way too many excuses to come across sale alerts, has introduced me to so many great people, and lets my followers be the first to know when I’ve got new posts up on WIT & Whimsy.
When you’re not tweeting you’re: When I escape from feverishly drafting posts for WIT & Whimsy, you can find me in the playground that is San Francisco. I consider brunching a hobby; I shop in local boutiques far too much and could earn a degree in finding excuses to make purchases; I enjoy the sunshine (when San Francisco has it!) by sipping drinks in the park with friends; or, if you catch me on the right week, I’ll be doing Pilates after work (read: I’m doing pilates and wishing I was having a cupcake).

About Meghan’s Picks:
(1) I don’t think I can ever have enough girly dresses hanging in my closet, and this Tibi one would work for any season, making it a great purchase. Plus, I love the eclectic print and the fact that silk chiffon somehow always manages to make a look feel effortless and beautiful. Tibi - Viola 3/4 Sleeve Dress

(2) My wardrobe is made up of a lot of neutrals, so I love to mix in pieces that are unexpected. Nothing is quite as sassy as a sequined mini. I can think of about a million ways to style this, including dressing it up for a night out, or down for day by pairing it with a super-soft boyfriend tee and a blazer. Haute Hippie - Confetti Sequin Miniskirt

(3) I’ve always told myself that one day I’d invest in a leather jacket, and lately I’ve been thinking that day needs to arrive soon. I’m lusting after this Vince jacket—the leather looks like it’d be heaven to wear. Vince - Scuba Leather Jacket
