Wear, Worship, Will: Floral Dresses

From left: DVF Lou Dress, Alexander Wang Botanical Dress, Cynthia Rowley Forced Perspective Dress.

Florals for spring is hardly an original idea (ahem, The Devil Wears Prada), but this season, designers have done a pretty great job of making it one. From abstract to graphic to pop iterations, spring’s coming up roses, which made Assistant Product Editor Aviva’s choice of three a tough decision to make.

WEAR: Cynthia Rowley
“I love wearing prints, and mixed-media was one of my favorite subjects in design school. This dress takes me back to my days of adding pastel pigment to watercolor fashion illustrations.”

WORSHIP: Alexander Wang
“A grayscale floral is a rare and beautiful find. This dress is that perfect juxtaposition of hard and soft that Alexander Wang has mastered.”

WILL: Diane von Furstenberg
“My best friend, Aimee, is a petite runner with the calves to prove it. She could wear this dress for a meet-up at our favorite spot: Pinkberry.”

It’s your turn. Tell us which you would wear, which you’d worship, and which you’d will to a lucky friend.

Wear, Worship, Will: Wedding Jewelry

From left: Erickson Beamon White Wedding Necklace, DANNIJO Galapagos Necklace, Kenneth Jay Lane Pearl Necklace.

We’re in a wedding state of mind this week in the Shopbop offices, celebrating the one-year anniversary of our Wedding Boutique. To help fête the milestone, Shopbop merchandiser and bride-to-be Monica takes her pick from three nuptial-ready necklaces.

“The unexpected crystal fringe adds a pop of glamour to this piece. I’ll pair it with a hot pink Mason by Michelle Mason dress for my bachelorette party!”

WORSHIP: Erickson Beamon
“The lariat shape and intricate beading is reminiscent of the romantic ’20s era—definitely a piece to be admired.”

WILL: Kenneth Jay Lane
“I’m letting my bridesmaids choose their own dresses, shoes, and jewelry, and I know they will be fighting over this updated classic.”

It’s your turn. Which necklace would you wear on your big day, which would you worship, and which would you will to a lucky friend? Tell us in the comments.

Wear, Worship, Will: Cocktail Rings

Blog_12-04-09_rings (2)

Rings are the focus of this week’s edition of Shopbop’s new favorite fashion game. Assistant Buyer Jamie took three glamorous cocktail rings for a spin and picked out which one she’d wear, which she’d worship, and which she’d will to a ring-loving friend.

WEAR: Mania Mania
“The brass chain and fossilized stone make this Mania Mania ring an edgy statement piece. I love it because it’s a tough take on a cocktail ring.”

WORSHIP: Dara Ettinger
“You can’t help but admire a handmade piece of jewelry, and the blue agate stone and hammered gold make it hard to look away!”

WILL: Elizabeth and James
“I’m more of a golden girl when it comes to jewelry, but I have a friend in mind who would totally rock this glam silver and white sapphire ring alongside a bunch of different stacking rings.”

It’s your turn. Which would you wear, which would you worship, and which would you will? Tell us in the comments.

Wear, Worship, Will: Bright Clutches

This week our new favorite fashion game tackles the It-bags of spring: bright clutches. We turned to PR coordinator Olivia to find out which clutch she’d wear, which she’d worship, and which she’d  will to a stylish friend, (or hopeful coworker—hint, hint).

WEAR: Clare Vivier
“You really can't go wrong with a simple fold-over. It's versatile, smart, and the bright color makes it extra fun.”

WORSHIP: Anya Hindmarch
“Who doesn't love a little sparkle? This eye-catcher is meant to be admired—maybe I can incorporate it into the décor of my apartment!”

WILL: Rebecca Minkoff
“The embossed ostrich on this clutch is amazing. Stylish and practical, I could see so many of my girlfriends pairing it with their outfits to add a little pop of color.”

Wear, Worship, Will: Neon Shoes

In another round of our new favorite fashion game, we’re focusing on the must-wear color of the moment: neon. Product Editor Erika had the enviable task of choosing which stiletto stunner she would wear, which to worship, and which to will to a (very lucky) friend.

WEAR: Giuseppe Zanotti
“I can't get enough of two-tone right now, and this suede sandal does it up right with extra-bright shades of spring’s standouts, cobalt and mint.”

WORSHIP: ONE by Suecomma Bonnie
“I love the unexpected combination of neon and snake, and the geometric detailing is stunning. If I wore them I might just stare at my feet all day!”

WILL: B Brian Atwood
“One of my besties calls pink her signature color, and she's known to rock it from hoops to heels. These fringed beauties would be an instant classic in her collection.”

Wear, Worship, Will: The Leather Jacket

From left to right: Veda Matisse Jacket, ONE by Improvd Woven Jacket, Surface to Air Kim Jacket.

Welcome to Wear, Worship, Will, our new favorite fashion game. Every Monday, we’ll ask a Shopbop staffer to decide which of three pieces they’d wear, which is more worthy of worship, and which they would will (or gift) to someone they love.

Merchandiser Jordyn has agreed to be our guinea pig for this inaugural effort.

WEAR: Veda
“I love finding that one statement piece or pop of color that completes an outfit. This jacket instantly elevates a basic dress, or a tee and jeans.”

WORSHIP: ONE by Improvd
“The intricate woven detailing in this jacket is so impressive and beautiful. Craftsmanship of this level should be considered artwork; it deserves to be hung on a wall and admired.”

WILL: Surface to Air
“My mother is always on the hunt for a piece that’s easy to throw on while still making any outfit look put together. I hope she’d let me borrow it!”

Now it’s your turn. Which would you wear, worship, and will? Tell us in the comments.
