Three looks from the DVF pre-fall 2012 collection.
For pre-fall 2012, Diane von Furstenberg took a walk on the tough side, though being DVF, she didn’t quite go full-on punk. Think mod girl gone bad. The designer named the collection Macadam Diva (“macadam” is “asphalt” in French), and the harder edge was seen in leather accents and street-worthy prints. Classic DVF fare balanced the collection, with drop-waist silhouettes, silk jersey, and plenty of signature prints.
Now, don’t let the image above fool you. The collection was not without color. Pops of lemon yellow mixed with burnt orange and bright blue. This is DVF, after all, and even the toughest of her girls is still lighthearted and cheery.
