Fashion week didn’t end with New York—with the Milan shows in full swing, we still haven’t heard the last word on spring ’09 fashion. Last year, I happened to have a layover at the Milan airport during the spring ’08 fashion week, and it was hands-down the chicest departure lounge I’ve ever seen. I was en route to India, so unfortunately I underwhelmed in dirty Tevas, cargo shorts, and an old tee!
But back here at shopbop I’m decidedly more fashion-minded. The Moschino Cheap and Chic show yesterday in Milan—full of watercolor prints in vibrant colors and floor-length hems sure to delight this spring—inspired me to take a closer look at pieces from their fall ’08 line. Until it’s warm enough again to wear spring’s airy, lightweight pieces, this colorblock Wool Felt Dress and Over the Knee High Heel Boot are just right for right now, while the artsy print on the Sleeveless Shift Dress anticipated the spring show. And I’ll live la dolce vita with the Belted Dress with Flounce Hem and the Open Toe Pump with Bow.
