first fashion:

Our Favorites from What's New
It’s fitting that I follow up my recent odes to Alexander Wang with a shout-out to the runners-up for the CFDA award that Wang walked away with: Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai of Vena Cava. (Part of their winnings? To be mentored by Andrew Rosen of Theory fame.) Three of my faves from their characteristically inspired spring line are new to shopbop today.
Vcnapoleon These ladies have clearly mastered that difficult balance of distinctive and timeless. This dress has a clear design point of view, but it’s utterly trend-proof. Vena Cava Napoleon Dress
Vcpapyrus I always want a classically pretty little frock for summer weddings and such, but most of them end up feeling too girly for me. This is the perfect balance of feminine and fashion-forward. Vena Cava Papyrus Dress
Vcleather Not only wearable now, this is something I could imagine seeing in a Vena Cava retrospective at the Met Costume Institute decades from now. Definitely a keeper. Vena Cava Short Sleeve Leather Jacket
Shop all sorts of established and up-and-coming design talent in What’s New.
