We don’t like to toot our own horn. Alright, we really, really do, but this time, it’s with good reason. Chicago-based magazine CS put the spotlight on shopbop’s own Joe Milano, director of buying and planning, in their October issue. A native of the Windy City, Joe has been with shopbop for 5 years. A few highlights from his interview:
On how the company has changed since he started in 2003:
“We’ve grown, and we’ve grown up…We added a designer boutique with really high-end collections. We just launched a video denim guide…We now ship international…And, of course, we’re excited about debuting the (Breast Cancer Awareness) charity tees.”
On Madison (shopbop’s hometown) style:
“Where I work, everyone obviously dresses well, but Madison is much more casual.” (Aw, thanks Joe!)
On Chicago style:
“You take elements of L.A. and infuse them with New York, and you’ve got this really cool blend.”
