After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2007, designer James Long made waves in the menswear world, catching the eye of influencers at magazines like Another Man and GQ Style. For fall, he’s taking womenswear by storm, translating his modern menswear designs into a collection that channels the style sensibilities of Stevie Nicks, Patti Smith, and Joan Baez. The aesthetic is suitably bohemian rock: macramé fringe accents chiffon blouses and dresses, while an artfully deconstructed chunky sweater is a perfect match for painted-on leather pants. Just add a metal Whiting & Davis handbag and chunky wedge booties.
