We’re in the midst of that in-between season: when winter wear is feeling stale, but it’s still too cold to go all-out spring style. People Style Watch tapped Shopbop Buyer Jane Albiter for a few wardrobe refreshers (look for the article in their March issue, on newsstands now), and we got Jane to offer up some tips on how to wear them.
Top look: 10 Crosby by Derek Lam skirt (coming soon), 3.1 Phillip Lim sweater, Equipment blouse, Madewell loafers, Marc by Marc Jacobs watch. Bottom look: Patterson J. Kincaid blouse, Vince pants, Alexander Wang booties, Made Her Think bracelets.
Printed Skirt
Printed bottoms in all forms are such a big trend this season. This skirt is super wearable when you pair it back to a solid knit. A preppy shoe is a great match—a loafer or the Rag & Bone Newbury Bootie. When the weather heats up, tuck in an airy LNA tee or a sleeveless Equipment blouse.
Bold Blue Blouse
I love this blouse’s tie neck and deep V—it’s sophisticated, but the color keeps it fun. And, it can be worn in so many ways: tucked into high-waisted jeans or cutoffs, peeking out from under a blazer, or even for work with a pencil skirt and pumps.
