As some of you may know, Shopbop started as a single store called Bop in 1999 (the shop is still open in Shopbop’s corporate hometown, Madison, Wisconsin), so we were delightfully surprised to get a peek at freelance stylist Pete’s King of the Bop tattoo. He told us he got the tattoo years ago when he was certain his future was in radio. (“King of the Bop” is a song by a punk band with a less than tasteful name. We’ll let you Google that one for yourself.) Pete’s days of radio are behind him, but now that he’s hanging out in our studio, we like to think his tattoo has gained a fresh layer of meaning.
