In basics, I love extremes: painted-on skinny jeans, giant oversized sweaters, sheer Kain Label tanks. Fashion-forward interpretations of traditional staples, these pieces pack an unexpected punch without straying too far outside the lines. Cue the entrance of my new love: the extra wide-leg pant. Figure-flattering, edgy, and scandalously comfortable, this silhouette is on-point everywhere from the office to the bar.
While my true wide-leg love will always be the gorgeous pleated Robert Rodriguez trousers pictured above, my wish list has expanded to include all of the widest, boldest styles in our inventory. For 9-5, I’m replacing my trim skinnies with the fullest styles from Alice + Olivia, Doo.Ri, and Thakoon. For weekends and downtime, I’m phasing out the maxi dresses and opting for super-chic palazzo pant styles from Jarbo, Free People, and Richard Chai Love.
