The fall 2010 runways saw belted layers—think chunky knits piled on and then tamed with a simple belt—at Rag & Bone, ADAM by Adam Lippes, and Jill Stuart, but this cool-weather trend can be incorporated into a warm-weather look.
Cinch a voluminous Joie top with a thick Elegantly Waisted belt for brunch with the girls, or buckle a leather Motif 56 belt over a classic Theory blazer for a new spin on a work ensemble. It’s an easy step, but the results are almost always exceptionally chic.
