come sail away

New Image2

There’s a lot of ink being spilled about Michelle Obama’s recent sartorial choices, but one trend this season looks a bit further back in time to that other fashionable first family: the Kennedys and their uniquely American brand of Cape Cod chic. With sailor stripes; red, white, and blue; and shipshape details, polished and preppy nautical re-enters the fashion scene every spring. How to integrate it into our modern wardrobes without looking like we’re marooned in Nantucket circa 1960? Turn to our talented team of stylists, who have anchored the new Nautical LookBook in wearable yet sexy styles suitable for the seaside or the city.

How will I wear it? I’ll start with Juicy’s cheeky Starfish Necklace or Starfish Studs, which put a lot of personality in a tiny little package. Poolside, I’ll slip into a navy bikini with gold accents and pair it with Marc by Marc’s red and white Plaque Sunglasses and patent thong sandals by Tory Burch. I’ll take the look to the streets with a striped top paired with either Abaete’s Michaela Skirt or Anlo’s Olive Anchor Short (pictured), both polished alternatives to denim.
