The fashion world is gearing up for the four weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris that define Fashion Month, but first, they’re getting ready for Fashion’s Night Out. Shopbop’s plan is in action (some details here, with more to come), so we decided to ask a few of our favorite designers what they’re doing for FNO. First up, Yigal Azrouël, the man behind the brand of the same name, as well as contemporary label Cut25.
Shopbop: Why do you think FNO is important?
Yigal Azrouël: I think FNO is important because although it is a stressful time for all the designers who are preparing for their shows, the night unifies the fashion community and everyone creates something really positive.
SB: What is happening in your store for FNO?
YA: We are donating 5% of the night’s proceeds to Water.org.
SB: What is your favorite item from the Yigal Azrouël fall 2011 collection?
YA: My favorite item in the fall 2011 collection is the royal blue wool pant. I love the strong color and think the pants are very modern.
