I’ve always gravitated to brown and black when it comes to accessories, but I’m looking to lighten up this spring. These three sources of inspiration will have me swapping out my black handbags and brown boots in no time.
With Bright Separates
Avoid oversaturation by accessorizing bright separates with a clean dash of white. Diane von Furstenberg sent her models down the spring runway wearing blocks of color paired with white footwear, and I’ll recreate the look with these high-heel DVF sandals.
Nude and white were a potent pair on spring’s runways, from nude macramé and white boots at Jen Kao to the sleek silhouettes at 3.1 Phillip Lim. I’ll try this failsafe combination with a tan Alice + Olivia dress and timeless white pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti.
With Delicate Pinks & Black
Though my style isn’t half as girly as the Cherry Blossom Girl, I swing by her blog on a near-daily basis for inspiration. I love her favored color scheme of white, blush pink, and black, and I’ll pay homage by pairing a pink chiffon dress with a black blazer and white Jil Sander flats (pictured).
